#COMPOSUARY 

Inspired by Inktober, #composuary is a month-long challenge of daily prompts to help composers expand their practice and work through new ideas!

#composuary is not about making complete and finished works. It's about the process of composition, of taking the prompts given and using them to benefit your own personal practice. The first #composuary occurred in February of 2019.

My personal philosophy with #composuary is that it is not meant to guilt people into composing every day for a month. I personally lost steam rather quickly during this first #composuary due to outside factors. Instead it’s about dedicating more time in a month to composing for personal reasons than one normally would, taking prompts and letting them guide one’s practice. Even one extra day of composing solely for one’s self is better than none at all!
